3 WAYS DRONE TECHNOLOGY ELEVATES YOUR WEDDING VIDEO AND PHOTOS

3 WAYS DRONE TECHNOLOGY ELEVATES YOUR WEDDING VIDEO AND PHOTOS In recent years, drone technology has revolutionised the field of photography and videography, offering exciting new perspectives and opportunities. When it comes to weddings, using drones for capturing aerial shots has become increasingly popular. The unique vantage point and stunning imagery that drones provide can add a touch of magic to your special day. In this blog post, we will explore the top three benefits of incorporating drone photography and videography into your wedding, making it an unforgettable experience for you and your guests. WHAT IS DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY? Drone photography and videography is a relatively new and exciting form of visual storytelling that has rapidly gained popularity in recent years. As the name suggests, drone photography involves using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with high-resolution cameras to capture images and video from an aerial perspective. It offers a unique perspective that was previously only possible with expensive equipment such as helicopters and aeroplanes. With drones, photographers and videographers can capture stunning images and videos of landscapes, cityscapes, events, and more, from a bird’s-eye perspective.   WHEN WOULD WE USE A DRONE AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND VIDEOGRAPHER? We believe incorporating drone footage can add a unique and stunning perspective to your wedding photography and videography. For weddings we tend to use the drone to capture your venue, the elevated perspective it creates is perfect to capture not only the venue but its surrounding grounds. Being able to get up to such heights gives us the ability to capture both photos and videos of the whole venue which are important in telling the story of your wedding day. Venue shots are usually included at the beginning of your wedding video, take a look at Sapna & Gagan’s wedding trailer where we use glimpses of footage to help set the scene and capture their outdoor arrival. With photography, the drone height also allows us to take bigger group shots of your whole wedding party, and for outdoor entrances. https://vimeo.com/852260873 3 BENEFITS OF DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY: 1. Aerial Shots Drones offer an incredible opportunity to capture mesmerising aerial views of your wedding venue, outdoor ceremonies, and reception spots. They effortlessly soar above, capturing footage of the surroundings, and showcasing the picturesque landscapes and stunning scenery. This unique perspective yields creative and distinctive footage for your wedding trailer and final video, providing an unparalleled view impossible to achieve with conventional cameras. Imagine the grandeur of panoramic views showcasing your venue or the allure of a bird’s-eye view as you make your grand entrance. These shots add a distinctive grandeur, creating unforgettable moments within your wedding album and video, ensuring timeless memories for years to come. 2. Capturing Unique & Creative Memories with Cinematic Video By integrating drone photography and videography into your wedding, you unlock a realm of creative opportunities. This technology allows us to capture diverse angles and heights, presenting your venue, décor, and guests in ways traditional methods cannot match. These inventive shots infuse your wedding album with a distinctiveness that truly encapsulates the essence of your special day. With drones, we craft cinematic footage featuring seamless movements and dynamic camera perspectives, elevating the production quality of your wedding video for a more immersive and visually captivating narrative. Offering a fresh viewpoint, drones transform even mundane settings into extraordinary scenes, enabling us to create artistic, breathtaking, and unforgettable photos and videos. 3. Enhanced Storytelling Incorporating aerial shots and dynamic footage into wedding photos, videos, and albums enhances the overall storytelling experience. Drones play a crucial role in crafting a more comprehensive and immersive narrative of the wedding day, capturing the ambience, emotions, and pivotal moments from a distinct vantage point. This different perspective adds depth and richness to the storytelling, offering a captivating view that beautifully complements the traditional coverage, making the memories even more vivid and compelling. HOW DO WE ENSURE LEGAL COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY WHEN FILMING AT WEDDING VENUES? We take great care to ensure all drone footage adheres to relevant laws and regulations. We inform all our clients of the permissions needed from wedding venues which enables us to fly the drones, and get these sorted prior to the wedding day. Our drone pilots are licensed and follow all necessary guidelines to ensure the safety of the wedding guests, venue, and equipment. Drone flight is highly weather-dependent. While our video packages include drone footage, please note that weather conditions are beyond our control. CONCLUSION: In the realm of wedding memories, drone technology emerges as a game-changer, offering a transformative edge to the visual narrative of your special day. The threefold impact of drones on wedding videos and photos is undeniable. From the enchanting aerial views that redefine scenic beauty to the dynamic, immersive footage that encapsulates emotions and atmosphere, drones elevate storytelling to unprecedented heights. They unveil angles and perspectives that were once unimaginable, painting a canvas of memories that resonate with uniqueness and an everlasting charm. As technology evolves at an unprecedented pace, it’s imperative for us, as professionals, to continually stay abreast of these advancements and seamlessly integrate them into our craft. Embracing these new avenues isn’t merely a choice; it’s a necessity that ensures we remain at the forefront of innovation, delivering unparalleled quality and experiences to our clients.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A WEDDING ALBUM? The purpose of a wedding album is to preserve and showcase the memories of a couple’s wedding day. It’s a tangible representation of the special moments and emotions captured during the wedding day, including the preparations, the ceremony, and the reception. It serves as a visual timeline of the events that took place and allows you to look back on your wedding day for years to come, and to share these moments captured with your friends and family. A Wedding Album is a great way to tell the story of the wedding day, from start to finish, and serves as a unique memento for you and your family that can be passed down from generation to generation as a cherished keepsake. FOLLOW THESE 3 EASY STEPS TO CREATE YOUR PERFECT WEDDING ALBUM: 1. Image Selection We recommend selecting between 120 – 150 images for a wedding album, this number can vary depending on the type of wedding we photographed. This is easily completed by logging onto your online wedding gallery and creating a favourites folder of all the images you desire to be included in your album. Need help with this step, click here to watch our step-by-step video. At this stage we’d encourage you to select a cover image, most of our albums have a printed landscape image which is from the portrait session on the wedding day. Another factor to consider is whether you’d like a letter logo printed on the box, so we are able to create this when designing. After selecting your images it’s best to notify us so we can move the process along into the designing stage as quickly as possible. 2. Designing Process We’ll take care of designing each page with the images you’ve selected. Our album designer will carefully curate a layout which tells the story of your wedding day. When designing we ensure photos are in chronological order of how the day was, this helps to show how we carefully captured every moment of your special day. We’ll also create a design for your box, selecting colours and materials that work well with your cover image, and adding any previously selected logo designs to the box mock-up. 3. Revising & Finalizing our design Once the designs of the pages and box are completed we’ll upload these onto your online gallery in a new folder for you to access and review. For minor changes, we suggest contacting Ankit directly, and for other changes, we’d suggest scheduling a Zoom meeting so we can easily make your desired amendments. Once you’re happy with the designs we’ll finalise all the details, and then your design is ready to be sent to print. 4 THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING YOUR PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING YOUR PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT? A pre-wedding photoshoot is an invaluable opportunity for us to get to know each other, allowing you to become more confident in front of the camera and, it is especially important for those who may be camera-shy or nervous about having their photo taken. The end goal is not to only produce beautiful photographs but to leave you feeling comfortable and confident for the Wedding Day. It gives me the chance to figure out your likes and dislikes of how you like to be photographed and what style works best. WHERE IS BEST TO HAVE YOUR PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT? A good location sets the tone for the photoshoot, this could also be somewhere that has a special meaning to you such as where you first met, or where the proposal took place. My most popular locations are park areas, they are easily accessible and have great aesthetic features. Some of my favourite park locations include Golders Hill Park located in Golders Green and a quiet Reserve Park in Watford. Golders Hill Park has endless photography opportunities, we’re never stuck for ideas. It’s beautiful no matter what the weather, with impeccable landscaping. I’m particularly fond of the pergola garden where the plants have intertwined around the structure creating a captivating backdrop. Being able to have such an open space to walk through creates perfect opportunities to capture those candid moments. Another popular location for a pre-wedding photoshoot is in Central London. I am just a short tube journey away, making it easily accessible for me and my team. London as a city has so much to offer in terms of photography, with some of the most historic landmarks and architecture creating incredible, classic backdrops for your pre-wedding photoshoot. WHEN IS BEST TO BOOK YOUR PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT? Week Days. During the busy wedding season, I advise taking either a morning or afternoon during the week to complete your pre-wedding photoshoot. An advantage of this is that most of these areas are a lot quieter which positively impacts the final photography images. WHAT TO WEAR? There are a few things to when considering what to wear for your pre-wedding photoshoot. Most importantly you want something you feel comfortable and confident in as this will show through the photography. I would advise wearing something that’s easy to walk and move around in, as usually on a pre-wedding photoshoot we are walking around which enables me to capture more natural candid style portraits. I would avoid busy patterns as this can be distracting, a bold colour looks best. For footwear, I’d suggest something comfortable but if you do want to wear heels, bring a pair of comfy shoes as we can always set them aside while shooting. WHAT YOU CAN DO AFTER THE PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT? After the photoshoot, I’ll go through and edit your photos and upload them onto an online gallery which you’ll have access to via email, through the catalogue you’ll be able to download the high-quality images. A nice suggestion is to have them used in a guest signing book, making this more of a unique book to treasure for years to come. Here are a couple of examples of a guest signing book we created! Another way your photos can be used is during your Wedding Reception, they can be made into a slideshow to be projected onto the screen usually set up by your DJ, adding a unique backdrop. Look at how Hiral & Hiten used theirs! TO SUMMERISE In conclusion, pre-wedding photoshoots are a wonderful way to capture the special moments and memories that will last a lifetime. They provide a chance for couples to get comfortable in front of the camera, bond with their photographer, create a story, use the photos for wedding planning, and have some fun. So, whether you’re looking for beautiful, intimate photos or a unique way to document your love story, consider having a pre-wedding photoshoot before your wedding day.

WHY PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER’S DON’T SHARE RAW FILES

WHY PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER’S DON’T SHARE RAW FILES WHAT ARE RAW FILES? Raw files are unprocessed, uncompressed digital images, straight from a digital camera lens. They are the starting point for us creative professionals to craft them to their full potential and final output. WHY I DON’T DELIVER RAW FILES? To put it simply, RAW files are not the final product. As a professional photographer, I’m hired to deliver the final product. The process of wedding photography includes post-production editing and once completed we’re able to deliver those high-quality, carefully selected images which last a lifetime. RAW files are not in a ready-to-use format and require specialized software and skills to work with them. This means that as the client, you may not be able to access or work with them, and they may need to hire a professional to do so. This additional cost may be unexpected, and it may come as a surprise to clients who request the raw files and footage. WHY DO WE SHOOT IN RAW? Shooting in RAW captures a high level of image detail, with large file sizes and lossless quality. RAW provides a higher quality and more flexible file format compared to other image file formats, such as JPEG. The images captured in RAW have a greater amount of image data in comparison to JPEG files. The files contain details and information including colour depth, contrast, and brightness, having this additional information allows flexibility when editing. Adjustments can be made without degrading the quality of the image. When shooting if there is an overexposed photo, the RAW image can better recover those areas and can be brought back using adjustments of highlights and exposure settings. AN INSIGHT INTO EDITING AND COLOUR GRADING IN POST-PRODUCTION EDITING? The process of wedding photography goes way beyond just capturing those special wedding day moments. It’s our job to capture your love story from beginning to end which includes post-production. We carefully select the best images from the day which on average is around 1500 files! These selected images are then individually edited which becomes the final outcome. These images are then uploaded to your online wedding gallery for you and your families to view. Take a look at this example, with the RAW file and then after it has been colour graded and edited. RAW File Edited PRESERVING COPYRIGHT Raw files and footage may be misused, once clients have access to the raw files and footage, they can edit, crop, and share them as they see fit. This may result in the misrepresentation of my work, as well as copyright infringement issues. It is important to protect my intellectual property and deliver only the final, edited product to you, the client. TO SUMMARISE In conclusion, RAW files are explicitly for the photographer and videographer and are used as a starting point for us to then edit and bring to life those special moments from your Wedding Day. It’s in my best interest to not share these files and I hope this blog had given a clearer understanding of why. Ultimately I would never produce unfinished work, and sharing RAW files would be doing a disservice to the paid service I provide. I take tremendous pride in my work and would want to share and showcase my talent to the best of my ability.
